I must admit I was thrilled to not see those awful high shoes that can cause so many problems...superb shot

I'm not a big fan of saddleseat in general...

I certainly don't blame you for that. Something to be said for often ludicrous and ridiculous things we do to each other let alone animals. Tail docking (for dogs), vicious tack (for horses) such as straight bar bits, sharp spurs, cheap girths, ill fitting saddles. Most of the time the problem is the person not the horse. I work with racehorses and the most frustrating aspect is constantly teaching people who claim to know all about horses just how LITTLE they know. I do try to be patient and I make sure I prove my point and my methods. Despite proving my natural horsemanship time and again I'm still constantly having to correct people. Peopel get hurt because they don't bother to listen or be willing to learn. Horse people can be so frustrating! lol.

I retrain standardbreds to saddle for a rescue. Every horse with 'issues' I have ever had is because someone fucked it up.

How absolutely delicious to see a picture of this breed, doing what comes naturally to it, without the use of stupid stacks... such a beautiful shot! Well done!

Riding an American Saddlebred in saddleseat tack was one of the joys of my life. They know they're beautiful, and love to show off. They give you sheer power and elegance in every stride, and the feeling remains with you forever. Thanks for posting this photo :)
